Just a few games into the season, Caitlin Clark was sidelined by a quad injury that she suffered in practice. The Fever point guard played in Indiana's first four games of the season before the team announced she had a strained quad and would be out indefinitely.
On Thursday, Clark spoke for the first time since the injury, revealing that she suffered the injury during the fourth game of the season vs. the Liberty.
"Adrenaline covers up a lot of stuff when you're in the heat of battle," she said, via Chloe Peterson. "After the game, I had some pain, then we got an MRI, and it gave me the result I didn’t want to see."
During Thursday's practice, Clark was on the court but largely sat out of 5-on-5 drills.

In Clark's absence, the Fever are 2-2, bringing their record to 3-4 on the season, which is currently good enough for seventh in the league. Most recently, Indiana beat the Mystics on Tuesday and Sky on Saturday, in what were their first wins without Clark.
With last Thursday hitting the 10-day mark since the Fever announced the injury, here's what else Clark had to say about her injury timeline.

How long is Caitlin Clark out?
On June 9, Fever head coach Stephanie White said that Clark would miss Indiana's game on Tuesday vs. the Dream.
"We're ready to start ramping back up," White said of Clark. "She's been allowed to do some practicing, not everything, and we're gonna be smart, we're gonna be cautious."
Caitlin Clark will not play tomorrow, Steph White says.
She’s not necessarily cleared for basketball activities, but ready to start “ramping back up.”
Sophie Cunningham was also limited in practice today.
The Fever announced Clark's quadriceps injury on May 26, initially saying that the star guard would be out for two weeks before being re-evaluated. When speaking on Thursday, which marked 10 days since the announcement, Clark said she will be further evaluated over the weekend.
As a result, Clark missed the Fever's game against the Sky on Saturday, which was exactly two weeks since her last game. When addressing the media for the first time last week, Clark was optimistic that she would return soon.
"I've made a lot of progress and I feel good," Clark said, via Peterson. "But I'm not going to rush my way back if it's not worth it."
When will Caitlin Clark return?
With Clark out against Atlanta on Tuesday, the Fever's next two contests are home games on Saturday, June 14, against the Liberty and Tuesday, June 17, against the Sun. If Clark continues to progress, she may be able to return during one of those two games before Indiana goes on a road trip.
