The Chicago Cubs beat the Chicago White Sox on Monday, August 17, in the 10th inning on a walk-off home run from Pete Crow-Armstrong.
That wasn't all he did on Monday night, as PCA hit a leadoff homer, a double, a single, walked once, stole a base, and added three RBIs while playing elite defense in center field. He was incredibly valuable for the Cubs in their big win.
Meghan Montemurro of The Chicago Tribune shared a wild statistic that showed just how valuable PCA was Monday night. Crow-Armstrong produced 0.5 fWAR in one game, which is more than Kyle Tucker has posted all year for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Pete Crow-Armstrong posted more fWAR in 1 game than Kyle Tucker has all year
"Pete Crow-Armstrong's performance tonight -- featuring 2 HRs, 2B, 1B, BB, K, SB and 3 RBIs -- added 0.5 fWAR to his season total, which is wild," Montemurro writes. "12 qualified MLB hitters have produced an fWAR less than that this season, including Kyle Tucker (0.4)."
Among all batters this season, Crow-Armstrong has 8.2 fWAR on the year, well ahead of second-place Bobby Witt Jr., and significantly ahead of Shohei Ohtani (as a hitter only) at 4.0 fWAR.
After Crow-Armstrong's 0.5 fWAR night on Monday, which is just a wild figure to add in one game, he added more fWAR in one game than 12 players in baseball.

Tucker for the Dodgers, whom the Cubs let go this past offseason and signed a mammoth $240 million four-year deal, has posted just 0.3 fWAR this season. It decreased after Montemurro's post, as he dropped a can-of-corn fly ball, further decreasing his value.
Isaac Collins has posted 0.4 fWAR this season and is the 12th-lowest in baseball. Willi Castro has 0.5 fWAR this season, tied with PCA's incredible Monday performance.
Salvador Perez (-1.4), Ezequiel Tovar (-0.8), Marcus Semien (-0.2), Jarren Duran (0.0), Jo Adell (0.1), Alec Bohm (0.2), Gavin Sheets (0.2), Spencer Torkleson (0.2), Willy Adames (0.2), and George Springer (0.2) make up the other bottom-10 hitters in fWAR.
Those 10, plus Collins and Tucker, all have less fWAR this season than Crow-Armstrong had in one game. That's incredible, and it shows just how awesome PCA has been this year, and how bad some of those players have been as well.
