Hornets' Brandon Miller progressing toward return from shoulder injury

While progressing toward a return from a left shoulder subluxation, Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller was assigned to the team's G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.

After suffering the injury in the Oct. 25 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Miller was given a two-week re-evaluation period to recover from the injury. Recent news shows that he's on pace with the progress and will continue his ramp-up period in the G League.

Miller, 22, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets. The Alabama prospect has shown promise in his first few seasons, but injuries have resulted in him missing 66 out of the Hornets' last 95 games.

In the 2024-25 season, Miller was shut down after just 27 games played. He underwent wrist surgery to address a lingering issue that resulted in him getting shut down for the majority of the season.

The up-and-coming star has been nothing less than productive while staying on the court, averaging 18.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 42.8 percent from the field in the 103 career games he's played.

Miller was labeled as out for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors. He will join Laim McNeeley (illness), Grant Williams (knee), and Josh Green (shoulder) as players listed as out.
