Joe Burrow has mastered the art of showing up, if not on the field, at least in sharp pregame outfits. The quarterback’s pictures in his pregame outfit for Sunday’s Week 16 clash with the Miami Dolphins were shared by the Cincinnati Bengals’ official X account.

The 29-year-old spotted a dark-colored top with rimless sunglasses and grey pants, stuffing his ears with wired buds.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals do not have much to play for as their campaign draws to a close. The Bengals, for one, are out of playoff contention, and the quarterback has so many questions hanging over his future in Cincinnati and football.

Much like the Bengals, the Dolphins also have no playoff hopes to play for on Sunday. And Tua Tagovailoa is also embattled. Essentially, their meeting on Sunday hardly promises much excitement, except in their mutual ability to either hurt or help each other’s draft position.

Probing the question of Joe Burrow’s future in Cincinnati

Burrow raised eyebrows earlier this month when he posted a cryptic message on social media concerning his future. The message was interpreted both in terms of his continued stay in Cincinnati and the future of his playing career.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that the quarterback intends to be back with the team next year. However, the question of whether he stays beyond the 2026 season will be subject to the team’s performance next season. Schefter said:

“The interesting part will be what happens if next season this team struggles again. The questions that have come up here in recent weeks that Joe Burrow himself has raised are going to be even more accentuated in 2026 if this team doesn’t perform up to expectations and doesn’t win again.”

The Bengals are missing the playoffs this year, for the third straight year, a fact that has clearly frustrated the quarterback. He is at a crossroads in his career where he would have to choose between loyalty to the Bengals franchise and title-winning prospects.
