Fans were quick to make speculations about former LA Lakers coach Darvin Ham on Tuesday. A post from Investigative journalist Pablo Torre triggered the Lakers' fanbase on X (formerly Twitter). Amid the ongoing gambling scandal that's surrounding the NBA, fans assumed the worst following Torre's post.

As of late, there have been several reports regarding gambling scandals. This has led to the arrests of Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and Portland Trail Blazers' head coach Chauncey Billups.

There is still plenty to learn about the issue, and the inquiry is not yet complete. However, Torre's recent post on social media led fans to speculate about Ham. Most fans theorized that the current lead assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks has something to do with the ongoing gambling scandal.

"…ham," Torre posted.

While it was just one word, it was enough to spark something among Lakers fans. Here are some of the suggestions from the fans regarding the relationship of Torre's post to Ham's potential involvement in the gambling scandal.

"Wouldn’t be the least bit shocked if Darvin Ham was apart of this gambling scandal. He was actively ruining the Lakers," a fan said.

"Let me find out darvin Ham was throwing games away for money," another fan commented. "No s**t he was purposely destroying us from within … now it makes sense why," one fan said.

Supporters are eager to understand Torre's intentions.

"We’re about to find out why Taurean Prince was leading the Lakers in mins played aren’t we…bro had 1 job that season and it wasn’t getting wins," someone commented.

"Hold on! Ngl, I won’t be surprised if Ham is involved in that betting scandal cause til this day, I still don’t have an answer to why Taurean Prince was getting so many mins when he was playing for the Lakers," a comment read. "Ham found to be sabotaging lakers and league gives lakers 2023 ring as compensation 😭🤞" one fan speculated.

There isn't any confirmation about it. Lakers fans are the only ones speculating about Darvin Ham's potential involvement.

Patrick Beverley once questioned Darvin Ham's coaching skills on Lakers

Darvin Ham's stint with the Lakers wasn't the best. Fans remember it as one of the least successful times for the franchise since LeBron James joined the team in 2018.

One of his former players, Patrick Beverley, had some strong words about Ham's coaching style. Beverley claims that rather than providing the players with a strategy, the former head coach used to rely more on motivation.

"He's huge in motivation, things don't work...let's f****** make it work," Beverley said. "As a coach, that s*** don't work. Motherf***ers ain't here for no motivation. What's them X's and O's coach?"

Darvin Ham was the head coach of the Lakers from 2022 to 2024. He was fired by the franchise and was replaced by JJ Redick.
