After 18 seasons and a Super Bowl championship with the Packers, Rodgers was traded to the Jets in April 2023. However, he missed out on the entirety of his debut campaign in New York after rupturing his Achilles tendon during their season opener against the Buffalo Bills.
The veteran returned as the QB1 in 2024, but could only muster a 5-12 record with the team. The Jets then parted ways with him, after which he signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in June.
So far in nine games, Rodgers has helped the Steelers to a 5-4 campaign after Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Apart from him, they have Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and Will Howard on the quarterback depth chart.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was visibly unhappy with Aaron Rodgers' performance against the Chargers
In the post-game press conference, Mike Tomlin was asked to give his assessment of the four-time NFL MVP's performance against Jim Harbaugh's team. The Steelers coach had a visibly disappointed expression on his face and decided to skip the question with just a three-word message.
"How would you? Next." Tomlin said.If the Steelers want to retain their top spot in the AFC North, they need to find a way to win games on the field. The Baltimore Ravens are closing in on them following their victory over the Vikings and a three-game winning streak.
Mike Tomlin and his team next face the Bengals on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
