"He's the Wing Version of Shaq": Former NBA Player Makes Huge Giannis Antetokounmpo Declaration Amid MVP Debate

Former NBA player Chandler Parsons made a big declaration about Giannis Antetokounmpo while discussing the top players in the league. On Wednesday's episode of FanDuel's "Run it Back", the show's panel had a debate on the early-season MVP candidates.

The show's host, Michelle Beadle, brought up Giannis Antetokounmpo's name during the discussion. She showcased the Greek Freak's stats in the first four games of the season, leaving the panel stunned. Later, Beadle asked the panel why they hadn't been talking about the Bucks star.

Parsons stepped up to answer the question and compared the Greek Freak to the most dominant NBA legend to ever play the game.

"When we talk about the top three, top five players in the world, Giannis is always in the conversation," Parsons said. "You can talk about Wemby, Jokic, and SGA all you want but Giannis is still THAT guy...he is still is one of the more dominating players in the league... he's the wing/guard version of Shaq."

Later, Parsons said that when Antetokounmpo is healthy, he is a top-two player in the league. He then remarked that Victor Wembanyama's recent highlight plays have cast a shadow over the Greek Freak's stunning performances.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on arguably the best start to a season by an individual player. He has scored a total of 145 points in the first four games of the season. After suffering a 118-113 loss against the Cavs on Sunday, the Bucks star became the only player in history to start a season with more than 100 points, 40 rebounds and 15 assists.

Shaquille O'Neal says prime Giannis Antetokounmpo is better than him

Chandler Parsons compared Giannis Antetokounmpo to Shaquille O'Neal to give the audience a better sense of the Bucks star's dominance. However, Shaq himself believes that prime Greek Freak is better than him.

On Wednesday's episode of "The Big Podcast with Shaq", a reporter asked the Lakers legend to reveal his thoughts on whether prime Giannis Antetokounmpo is better than prime Shaquille O'Neal.

The Hall of Famer remained humble during his answer and gave the Bucks star his flowers.

"We are different players , but I'll probably have to say Giannis," He said. "You know the game has evolved from when I played, and that's what you want. You want evolution in the game."

While Shaq was clear in his take, his co-host on the episode, Gillie da Kid, was not happy with the answer. Kid told the reporter that the Lakers legend was being humble, and that Antetokounmpo comes nowhere near close to a prime Shaquille O'Neal.
