It appears Andrew Tate holds UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira in high regard and considers him one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time.

The newly minted CEO of Misfits Boxing, having taken over the reins from social media star KSI, is hard at work building the brand and is set to grace the Misfits ring himself on Dec. 20, as he takes on the promotion's heavyweight champion, Chase DeMoor.

In a recent promotional segment for Misfits, 'King Cobra' shared his top three lists, from his favorite foods to his favorite fighters. When the topic came to combat sports GOATs, the former kickboxer took little time to name Alex Pereira and two others:

"Jon Jones, of course. Pereira is very impressive. He is still fighting people at my age. Still knocking people out. It's good to see. But [Floyd] Mayweather never lost, so I like Mayweather as well."

Pereira is one of just 11 fighters to have won championships in two weight classes in the UFC. He was last seen at UFC 320, where he knocked out Magomed Ankalaev in the first round to reclaim the light heavyweight title.

'Poatan' now seems intent on securing a heavyweight superfight against Jon Jones on the upcoming UFC White House card. However, Dana White doesn't seem keen on letting 'Bones' fight in the historic event after he backed out of a previously agreed-upon heavyweight title unification bout with Tom Aspinall earlier this year.

When Andrew Tate almost fought Alex Pereira

It appears Andrew Tate was once scheduled to fight Alex Pereira in 2014. The former ISKA world kickboxing champion made the revelation during a stream with popular fitness influencer Bradley Martyn earlier this year.

According to Tate, he was initially set to face 'Poatan' before being replaced by former Its Showtime middleweight champion Sahak Parparyan:

"Pereira, he fought Sahak Parparyan. I was supposed to fight instead of him. I was supposed to fight Pereira like 15 years ago."

At Glory 14: Zagreb in 2014, Pereira defeated Parparyan via majority decision. 'Poatan' is a former GLORY Kickboxing two-division champion, having held both the middleweight and light heavyweight titles.
