Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh bowled a tidy spell at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, in the side's ongoing third T20I against South Africa. The left-arm pacer claimed two crucial wickets while conceding just 13 runs from his four overs.

Arshdeep bounced back brilliantly after a disappointing outing in the second T20I. He bowled seven wides in a single over in the clash and finished with dismal figures of 4-0-54-0 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.

The 26-year-old redeemed himself with a stunning performance in the subsequent fixture. After India elected to field first, he struck in the very first over of the game.

Opener Reeza Hendricks was Arshdeep's first victim, falling LBW for a three-ball duck. The bowler later dismissed the well-set Aiden Markram in the 19th over.

The South Africa captain was out caught behind after a fighting 61-run knock off 46 deliveries. Arshdeep earned widespread praise on social media for the fantastic comeback.

South Africa's legendary fast bowler Dale Steyn seemed mighty impressed by Arshdeep's tactics. Pointing out how the Indian bowler perfectly showed how to work over a batter in 20-over cricket, he wrote on X:

"In Test matches you can get 4-5 over to work over a batter. 20/20 you maybe get 3-5 balls. Arshdeep just showed exactly how it’s done."

Arshdeep Singh silenced his critics in some fashion following a rare off day. Notably, with 48 wickets, he is now India's leading T20I wicket-taker in powerplays.

He is the side's most successful bowler in the format, claiming 109 scalps across 71 matches at an economy rate of 8.35.
