"He's playing like a tiger" - Pawan Sehrawat's massive praise for Fazel Atrachali after Pro Kabaddi 2025

Tamil Thalaivas' Pawan Sehrawat showered massive praise on veteran Fazel Atrachali following Pro Kabaddi 2025. Fazel carried out a vital role in Dabang Delhi's title-winning run.

Pawan Sehrawat reflected that a player like Fazel, who was acquired for a big amount in the previous seasons, was bought by Dabang Delhi at his base price. Nonetheless, the legend put up a solid performance and won the 'Most Valuable Player' award.

Pawan Sehrawat reckoned that the value of a player could not be decided by money. He lauded the Iranian for his impressive performance.

"There was one player who was sold for ₹1.5 crore. Puneri Paltan took him. That Fazel Atrachali today went for ₹20 lakhs (30). Became MVP. So was Fazel Atrachali only a 20 lakh player? So that's why money doesn't matter. The value you went for in the auction doesn't reduce your game, your playing aura at all. Fazel has proved that whether he was a 20 lakh player or not. That's a different matter," he said in an interaction on Sunil Taneja's YouTube channel. "Whether he should get 20 lakhs according to his name or according to his game or not. Those who sit in the auction will decide that. But that player is good. It's in his hands to decide. He has shown by doing good. He's playing like a tiger. The word sultan that you people have given, he has played really like a sultan. I feel proud of him," he added.

Fazel scored 52 tackle points from 19 matches with four High 5s. He even led Delhi for a few games in the absence of Ashu Malik. Therefore, he made complete use of his experience both as a player and skipper.

Pawan Sehrawat lauds Dabang Delhi head coach

Pawan Sehrawat also appreciated Dabang Delhi head coach Joginder Narwal. He lauded Joginder for bringing in experienced players like Fazel, Saurabh Nandal, and Surjeet Singh.

"I give a massive salute to Joginder for this. Be it Saurabh, Fazel, Surjeet, people thought that they could not play but he took them all and proved that age is just a number and experience comes in use. They won the final," he said.

Dabang Delhi defeated Puneri Paltan 31-28 to clinch their second Pro Kabaddi trophy. Saurabh and Surjeet made key contributions as well. Saurabh scored 52 tackle points from 19 matches. Surjeet scored 33 tackle points.
