Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. has been mentioned as a potential trade target. According to reports, several teams have started to monitor Porter's situation. The Stein Line's Jake Fischer has also named a Western Conference team that could acquire the star forward.

According to Fischer, the Golden State Warriors have discussed the idea of having Porter.

“Sources say that Golden State, which helped inspire this whole notebook, has indeed had some internal discussions about whether to pursue Porter. And I asked Warriors coach Steve Kerr about Porter's production in Brooklyn following their Monday night clash at Barclays Center,” Fischer wrote.

Ahead of the Nets' New Year's Day game against the Houston Rockets on Thursday, the team announced his status. Porter is reportedly out due to an illness.

However, his injury status has sparked even more trade rumors around him. Here are some of what the fans said about Michael Porter Jr.'s future in Brooklyn.

Michael Porter Jr. has become a hot commodity in the trade market. According to Jake Fischer, there are four teams interested in trading for the Nets star, including the Warriors.

First, Fischer mentioned the Milwaukee Bucks as a potential landing spot. The Bucks have started to monitor Porter's situation, as well as Zach LaVine of the Sacramento Kings and Jerami Grant of the Portland Trail Blazers.

Next is the Detroit Pistons, where he can add shooting around Cade Cunningham.

"At the very least, sources say, it's a situation to keep tabs on," Fischer wrote. "Porter could certainly supply the secondary scoring and shooting behind Cade Cunningham that Detroit might well need to make more noise in the postseason."

Lastly, the league insider wrote that the Chicago Bulls could trade for Michael Porter Jr. The team has had an interest in the past, but didn't get the opportunity to trade for MPJ.
