Chris Jericho has just shown off his impressive physique amidst his hiatus from the ring. Fans have reacted to this, and they believe that he was getting back into shape for a possible return to WWE.
The Nueve has not been seen on-screen since AEW Dynasty, where he lost his ROH World Championship to Bandido. He has not been heard from or mentioned since, as he has been focusing on several projects outside of wrestling. Chris Jericho has taken to Instagram to post a selfie as he was celebrating his 55th birthday. This was a photo seemingly taken post-workout as he was flaunting his physique.
Several fans have reacted to this and were amazed that he was in great shape. Some claimed that he may have been preparing for his return to the ring. Many speculated that this would be at the 2026 Royal Rumble match in January. They were looking forward to him being a surprise entrant.
One mentioned how he could be gearing up to be a wildcard in John Cena's Last Time is Now tournament.

A few days ago, WWE posted a timely reference to both Jericho and Cena as they referenced one of their iconic bouts. This was their match at Survivor Series 2008 for the World Heavyweight Championship.
This was posted on the WWE Vault YouTube Channel. This has once more fueled speculation as Jericho has been greatly linked to a return to the Stamford-based promotion. There have been no reports of him re-signing with AEW, nor have any contract negotiations come to light.

There is no telling what the future holds for Chris Jericho. A run in WWE, including a potential final interaction with John Cena before he retires, would be an interesting twist. Entering next year's Royal Rumble would also be a pleasant surprise. Only time will tell what goes down.
