The 2025 MLB season ended with the Los Angeles Dodgers clinching the World Series after an intense seven-game battle against the Toronto Blue Jays. However, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce isn't the biggest fan of Los Angeles going back-to-back.

Following the Dodgers' win against the Blue Jays, Kelce said baseball is the "dumbest" sport in the world because the highest spending team wins and it's all "meaningless."

Kelce's comments on the "New Heights" podcast gained traction on social media, with the Eagles icon facing backlash from fans. When a fan called out the former NFL star for hating the Dodgers because they "pay and protect their players," Kelce said he doesn't hate the team but the way the MLB operates.

"I don’t even hate the Dodgers specifically, I'd do the same thing if I were in their position. I love Freddy Freeman and think Shohei Ohtani is remarkable. I just hate a system that allows for such inequality in competitive fairness across an entire league. And their winning two years in a row is just a gross reminder of that. A lot of this, honestly, is just deep-rooted hatred for the Yankees growing up."

Jason Kelce tracks back on his earlier comment about Toronto Blue Jays

While Travis Kelce was impressed by the hard-fought World Series contest this year, Jason didn't share the same sentiment, mocking the Blue Jays on his podcast.

"So you're telling me I'm supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team and a team that just spends more money than everybody else?" Kelce said. "Who the f**k cares about either?"

However, Jason tracked back on his earlier comment in a post on X, showing his appreciation for Canada and their traditions.

"Guys, I love Canada, I have been bamboozled by our social team that failed to show the whole story," Kelce wrote on X. "How could I not love poutine, maple syrup, and beavers!! I was actually rooting for the Blue Jays in the World Series that I didn't care about."

Although Jason Kelce didn't like the outcome of this year's World Series, the best-of-seven series garnered record viewership, with Game 7 being the most-watched game since the 2017 Fall Classic decider.
