Last week it was announced that longtime New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t a first ballot Hall of Famer. This week it was Patriots Owner Robert Kraft getting snubbed.
In the first question he was asked today at the NBC media session, Dungy was asked if he voted to put 8x Super Bowl winning Head Coach Bill Belichick and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft into the football Hall of Fame in their first time on the ballot.
Dungy declined to comment.

The “snubbing” of these two prominent NFL figures has sent NFL fans and analysts into outrage with some fans claiming it's “an absolute disgrace to the sport of football.”
While Belichick and Kraft both certainly have the resume for the Hall, their connections to multiple cheating scandals, such as Spy Gate in 2007 and Deflategate in 2015, might have deterred voters from putting the two in. One of the most selective Hall of Fame’s among sports, it only holds 382 names through the class of 2025, around 1% of all eligible NFL personnel.
It will be interesting to see how the NFL treats next year's class, with the greatest player of all time, Tom Brady, entering his first year of eligibility into the class. Brady was a prominent figure in Deflategate, but it seems that fans still believe he will be a first ballot Hall of Famer.
Although the resumes might strongly outweigh the scandals, the voters have begun to take note in potential scandals that players have been involved in.
