Habs captain Nick Suzuki's wife Caitlin reveals the couple are expecting their first child

Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki and his wife Caitlin Fitzgerald revealed this week that they are expecting their first child sharing the news through a thoughtfully curated Instagram carousel accompanied by two personal stories.

Caitlin announced the pregnancy with a carousel of intimate photos posted to Instagram writing that the couple is expecting a baby girl later this spring. The carousel itself featured a series of quiet at-home moments.

One image showed Suzuki and Caitlin embracing in their living space while another focused on ultrasound photos held in Caitlin’s hands. A final click showed the couple seated together on a couch with their dog resting nearby.

“Baby girl coming this spring🕊️ the greatest joy of our lives, we can’t wait to meet you✨,” read the caption of the post.

In addition to the carousel, Caitlin also shared two Instagram. The first story was a short video compilation chronicling key moments since the couple found out they were expecting.

The clips included Suzuki checking a baby stroller, the couple reviewing ultrasound images together and candid scenes of them sharing the news with close family and friends. The second story was a still image featuring the couple with their three pets.

Caitlin then shared an Instagram carousel featuring never-before-seen photos from the Montreal reception featuring a closer look at the event’s atmosphere and details.

"Forever, surrounded by our favourite people❤️," Caitlin captioned the post.

One photo captured the newlyweds making their entrance hand in hand. Suzuki wore a black tuxedo while Caitlin was dressed in a lace gown with a high slit. Another image showed Caitlin surrounded by her bridesmaids all dressed in black gowns and holding bouquets of deep red and blush roses.

The reception decor featured candlelit tables adorned with crimson floral arrangements beneath gold drapery and crystal chandeliers. A towering three-tier cake was photographed beside a display of personalized wedding favors engraved with the couple’s crest. Another image showed the couple sharing their first dance on a checkered marble floor as guests looked on. Close-up shots also showed the intricate lace and beadwork of Caitlin’s gown.
