Gunther ended 2025 with arguably one of the most dominating wins in WWE history, as he submitted John Cena in his final match. On social media, The Ring General once again reminded everyone of the year he had.
In the early stages of the year, the Austrian star's first reign as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion ended at the hands of Jey Uso. Jey dethroned Gunther at WrestleMania 41, but he regained the title a few months later. He even defeated Goldberg in his final match before sending Cena into retirement in his final in-ring outing.
On social media, Gunther shared a video looking back on some of his most dominant moments from 2025. He shared a three-word message.

Jonathan Coachman said that WWE Superstar Gunther has no charisma
Jonathan Coachman spoke about the heat on Gunther following his win over John Cena. According to him, all WWE has done with The Ring General is have him laugh, and nothing that would solidify him as a "killer heel."
Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle Studios, Coachman had this to say:
"I got so many reactions going, 'Coach, you're 100% right. Coach, Gunther walks out there and has no charisma.' And right now all they've done with Gunther is have him laugh, make a t-shirt that I created because I said it here on this show. Tap like a dot dot dot. But in three weeks, it's been December 13th. In three weeks, they've done nothing with Gunther as the killer heel that they needed him to be to piggyback off the John Cena stuff,"The two-time World Heavyweight Champion was in action against R-Truth on Monday Night RAW, which was his first match since beating John Cena on December 13th at Saturday Night's Main Event.
