Gunther officially gets new WWE name after Saturday Night's Main Event

The WWE career of John Cena has finally come to an end with his retirement match against Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. The contest ended with an upset for many as The Ring General kept his word and submitted The Cenation Leader to secure the biggest victory of his career and leave John's career with a stain of loss.

However, following his tremendous win over the 17-time champion, the official veteran voice of the Stamford-based promotion, Michael Cole, gave Gunther a new nickname, calling him "Certified Career Killer."

The Austrian star had a great year as he defeated two legends in their farewell matches, Goldberg and John Cena. This clearly hints that the company is putting all its chips on The Ring General to be the face of the promotion, passing the torch from the icons.

John Cena might return to WWE for any appearance soon

Though the Chain Gang Soldier has officially retired from in-ring action, he will always be an ambassador for the Stamford-based promotion, having been one of its most loyal superstars and making legendary appearances on major shows.

However, fans should not expect The Cenation Leader back on World Wrestling Entertainment's television anytime soon, as the promotion has officially listed John Cena on the sports entertainment juggernaut's official alumni page, hinting that the Ruthless Aggression era icon's current deal with the company has ended and he might sign a legends deal with them.

That said, it will be interesting to see what plans the Triple H-led creative team has in store for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther as he secured a legendary win over Mr. Hustle, Loyalty & Respect, and when the pro wrestling marks will see The Cenation Leader make any appearance for the Stamford-based promotion.
