Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs continued their hot streak to start the 2025-26 NBA season. NBA fans remained hyped over Victor Wembanyama possibly winning the MVP this season. He has stiff competition in Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he has a shot at breaking Derrick Rose's record for the youngest MVP in history.
Here are some of the comments.
Yeah he's gonna snatch D-Roses chain ngl
If we’re being honest with ourselves, at his age LeBron and KD were not touching these levels. He’s just different
This guy is going to dominate the defensive end for years. Get used to this
Yo Wemby might win both defensive player of the year and MVP award if he keeps this up lol
He’s MVP front runner right now
Derrick Rose won the 2011 NBA MVP in his third season. He was only 22 years and 191 days old when he won the award with the Chicago Bulls. Victor Wembanyama, if he wins the MVP this season, will be younger by a few months, and he will break the record for youngest MVP ever.

(Photo: IMAGN)On a recent episode of "The Draymond Green Show," the Golden State Warriors star discussed Victor Wembanyama's dominant start to the season. Draymond Green was in awe of what the San Antonio Spurs superstar is doing. He even predicted that Wemby could sweep the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player awards this year.
"He stay at this pace at this level, he's gonna be like MVP, DPOY, Most Improved Player," Green said. "He's gonna be in position to compete for all those awards. And so I think, man, when you look at him, you can only sit and wonder what type of player is it gonna take to guard him?"The season is still too early, but Wembanyama is one of the favorites to win the MVP. He also has to stay healthy to remain eligible and play at least 65 games this season.
