The San Francisco Giants are coming off a season where they finished with a .500 record, missing the postseason. The club has hovered around .500 for the last four seasons, and the fanbase would love to get past that in 2026.
For the front office, they will have their work cut out for them over the winter. They need to find another frontline starter, could use an upgrade at second base, and a veteran corner outfielder.
The offense, like with most teams, will either make or break the club this upcoming season. They cannot be a contending team in the NL West without a potent offense.

Giants urged to get more offensive production from their right-handed hitters
Ahead of the deadline last season, the Giants went out and traded with the Boston Red Sox to acquire Rafael Devers. This was a left-handed bat they needed in their lineup, and he did not fail to meet expectations.
He was a larger part of the club's offense last season, totaling 20 home runs in 90 games from the left side. But it was the right-handed batters who failed to get much going.
While it's tough for right-handed hitters at Oracle Park, San Francisco cannot go into the new season just relying on Devers to have a monster year. ESPN's David Schoenfield puts the pressure on guys like Willy Adames, Matt Chapman, and others to produce.
"Having [Rafael Devers] for the entire season will help, but the Giants' other three top power hitters were Willy Adames, Matt Chapman, and Heliot Ramos, all lower-average, right-handed hitters who either strike out too much or don't walk enough."
Do not be surprised if San Francisco makes it their mission to add another left-handed bat to their lineup. They will need all the help they can get trying to keep up with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the division.
