Ben Johnson describes how his relationship with Caleb Williams has evolved

The Chicago Bears have had one of the best turnarounds in franchise history this season, going from a 5-12 record and finishing last in the NFC North to 11-4, with a great chance to secure a division title. They are also in the mix for the first overall seed in the conference.

Of course, having a franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams has played a big role in the Bears' success, as he took that leap in his second season after showing promise in his rookie campaign. However, a major difference that has paid dividends for the team is the hire of first-year head coach Ben Johnson, who is also the former offensive coordinator for the team's division rival, the Detroit Lions

Coming into the season, it appeared it would take time for things to trend in a positive direction, but that has not been the case at all with how well the Bears have played. The relationship between Johnson and Williams speaks to why the Chicago Bears are having a great season.

Johnson spoke earlier this week about how his and Williams' relationship has evolved throughout this season.

"We both have the same goals, we both care deeply about this team. We care deeply about this city, and I care deeply about his success as well." Johnson said. "Every single day, we're spending one-on-one time, quality time together, to the point where we can be very transparent with each other," Johnson added, when explaining how the connection has evolved between the two.

The head coach and quarterback must be on the same page to ensure good results for your team, and that is happening for the Bears, which is why they are primed to have a top-two seed in the playoffs.
