Since making his big league debut in September, young infielder Bryce Eldridge has established himself as an exciting up-and-coming talent within the San Francisco Giants' system.

Despite this, the youngster has been linked with a move away from Oracle Park, as reports stated the organization may be willing to trade Eldridge in return for a frontline starter like Hunter Greene.

On Wednesday's episode of "The Glen Kuiper Show," Kuiper advocated for the alternative acquisition of Freddy Peralta from the Milwaukee Brewers.

"So, there's talks about trades," Kuiper said (Timestamp: 0:00). "I always think, the Freddy Peralta thing, to me, is awesome, right? I know the naysaysers are like, 'Well, it's a one-year, thing.' That's not necessarily a bad thing. You give up less. It's an $8 million contract, so that's ridiculously low for this guy. Willy Adames is his best buddy. He's probably going to like pitching here. The crowds are good. So there's a lot to like if he were to come here. "Then you got a shot, maybe you can extend him, right? But if you don't, give him a qualifying offer, take the draft picks and let him go. That's the guy, but I don't know if they have enough (to facilitate a trade). How far do you want to go to put together a package? He just seems like the best guy you could get. I mean, yeah, Hunter Greene would be great to get. Well, you're not going to get him, right?"

Insider Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle concurred, as she feels this will also help the Giants hold on to Eldridge.

"You'd have to trade Bryce Eldridge to get Hunter Greene," Slusser said (Timestamp: 1:11). "They could put together a nice package for him (Peralta) that doesn't include Eldridge. Obviously, you're not trading Eldridge for one year of a guy. "But certainly, they've got some talent, and some pretty good young pitching. I think the Brewers and the Giants are a little sympatico in the way they think about players and the way they do things. So, I could really see that."

"He's a tremendous worker" - Giants GM commends Bryce Eldridge's work ethic as youngster continues to learn the ropes at first base

Speaking to MLB Network Radio on Dec. 14, Giants general manager Zack Minasian commended Bryce Eldridge's work ethic, as the youngster continues to get used to playing first base at the big league level.

"Bryce is still someone (learning the ropes)," Minasian said (Timestamp: 0:30). "Only a thousand career minor league plate appearances, he didn't play first base in high school, this is really, really new to him. I give Bryce a lot of credit, he's a tremendous worker. Actually played really well at first base in his short big league time. He's improving, he's going to continue to improve."

Fans will be hoping Bryce Eldridge stays with the team and shows his quality in 2026, as the Giants aim to snap a four-year long postseason drought.
