George Springer and his wife, Charlise Springer, are enjoying the offseason after a grueling MLB season where the Toronto Blue Jays had to toil till the very last game, and unfortunately ended on the wrong side of the World Series win. The couple celebrated George's sister, Lena's, wedding.
On Monday, Charlise's brother, Andre Castro, took to Instagram to share snaps from the wedding ceremony. The cover picture of the carousel featured the brother-sister duo all decked up in their black outfits. The next picture saw Andre share the frame with his brother-in-law, George, while the final picture featured the entire Castro family, including Andre and Charlise's parents, Angel and Janelle Castro.

George Springer's younger sister, Lena, has been one of his biggest supporters throughout this postseason. After he led the Blue Jays to the World Series, with a three-run homer in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, she couldn't contain her excitement at the prospect of witnessing a Fall Classic a week before her nuptials.
"A World Series a week before my wedding wasn’t originally on the bingo card for 2025, but boy am I glad it is now!!! Let’s Goooooooooo!!!!" she had written.A World Series a week before my wedding wasn’t originally on the bingo card for 2025, but boy am I glad it is now!!! Let’s Goooooooooo!!!!
Like her brother, Lena Springer is crafting her own career in the world of sports. She is a former Ohio State softball player and currently coaches the Trinity College softball team. During her senior year in Ohio, she had a 2.74 ERA in 74.0 innings pitched.
George Springer's honest admission about taking batting tips from sister
After Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, Springer was asked by reporters if his sister Lena chimed in with some tips after a disastrous 2024 season. He acknowledged her presence in her life while having some light-hearted sibling fun.
“She knows the game; we talk a lot. She kind of gets on my case a little bit more than I would like her to,” he said, adding, “Everything. Everything a little sister could possibly get on your case about, she gets on my case about.”Springer had a turnaround after he recorded a 1.1 bWAR last season. He won the American League Silver Slugger for the Designated Hitter position, the third of his career, after batting .309 with 32 home runs and 84 RBIs in 2025.
