Full Swing producer Chad Mumm opened up about the surprising exit of Brooks Koepka from the LIV Golf ahead of the 2026 season. The American golfer was among one of the earlier joiners on the Saudi league.

However, on Tuesday, the league announced that the five-time major will not return to play on the circuit in the upcoming season. He would be replaced by Talor Gooch as the Smash GC captain.

Mumm opened up about Koepka's exit from the LIV Golf in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He called the American golfer the "most interesting player" in the making of Full Swing, while also talking about his exit. He wrote:

"Brooks Koepka is hands-down the most interesting player I’ve covered in 4 years of making Full Swing and it’s no surprise that he is making headlines again with his departure from LIV… Brooks does it his own way, more than anybody else."

Mumm further expressed his experience about working with Koepka in Full Swing.

"He remains the only player to arrive at his first sit-down interview for the show without any entourage of agents, lackeys, or managers," he added.

Brooks Koepka was part of the popular golf docuseries Full Swing. He joined the LIV Golf in 2022 and enjoyed success in the first three seasons. He won five tournaments in the league. However, after his tough time on the greens this season, he exited the league.

LIV Golf CEO reveals reason for Brooks Koepka's exit from circuit

LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil opened up about the sudden exit of Brooks Koepka from the league. He said the American golfer is "prioritizing" his family and wants to stay "closer to home."

"We have amicably and mutually agreed that Brooks Koepka will no longer compete in the LIV Golf League, following the 2025 season," O'Neil said. "Brooks is prioritizing the needs of his family and staying closer to home. We appreciate the significant impact he has had on the game and wish him continued success, both on and off the course."

Notably, as per ESPN, the American golfer has informed the PGA Tour about his decision to leave the Saudi league, and it would be interesting to see what the future holds for him.

This season on the LIV Golf, Koepka was the runner-up at the Singapore event, and recorded some notable finishes such as T17 at Korea, T32 at Andalucia, and T29 at the Chicago.

Last season, he won two tournaments, including Singapore and Greenbrier, and before that, in 2023, he won the Orlando event and the Jeddah event. He won the five tournaments in the league, and his maiden win was in 2022 at the LIV Golf Jeddah Invitational.
