The Cleveland Browns are one of the most interesting teams to keep up with this offseason.
First, there's an entirely new coaching staff after Kevin Stefanski was fired. Then, you have the circus at quarterback, featuring Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson. Finally, on Monday, the team traded away franchise legend Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, giving the star a chance to finally win at the highest level.
So, it's safe to say, the Browns are going through changes. Now, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the roster shakes out between now and opening day. At least one writer thinks an interesting wide receiver could become another trade piece for the Browns.
Cedric Tillman floated as next Brown to be moved
Cedric Tillman was selected by the Browns in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Tillman had a productive college career at Tennessee, and he ended up getting three starts as a rookie.
Tillman has never developed into a star by any means, but he has made some nice catches and show flashes. Unfortunately, the former Volunteer has had to play on some bad offenses and hasn't exactly been surrounded with much stability.
This offseason, the Browns added Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, and Tylan Wallace to the receiver room. As a result, it's hard to imagine Tillman getting many snaps in 2026, so it's possible the team to could look to move him.
Moe Moton of Bleacher Report recently identified Tillman as the one player the Browns should trade. Regarding this possibility, Moton offered the following:
If Tillman falls to fourth or fifth on the depth chart behind Jerry Jeudy, Concepcion, Boston and Isaiah Bond, he could be a trade asset.
For a decent role, Tillman may need to start a new career chapter with a team that has a thinner receiver rotation, which will allow him to see more targets.
As Moton mentioned, it's hard to imagine Tillman being any higher than WR4, at best. There are some other teams, though, where Tillman could perhaps earn more snaps. The Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders, in particular, could use more help at receiver.
The Browns won't get much in return for Tillman at this point, but there are likely a few teams who would see the receiver as worth a gamble.
