Former New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne is continuing his basketball career in Europe.

The 10-year NBA veteran agreed to a deal with Partizan of the Serbian League on Tuesday. He signed a training camp deal with the Indiana Pacers in October after TJ McConnell's injury, but didn't make Indiana's final roster.

Payne played in 72 games for the Knicks last season, scoring 6.9 points and shooting 36.3% from deep in 15.1 minutes a night. But the Knicks didn't bring back Payne, who's also played for the Cavaliers, Bucks, Thunder, Bulls and 76ers in his career.

Payne is best known for his stint with the Phoenix Suns, where he played from 2020-23. He was a key role player on the Suns team that made the NBA Finals in 2021. He scored 29 points and dished out nine assists against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference Finals.

He built on that performance the next season, when he averaged 10.8 points and 4.9 assists while backing up Suns guards Devin Booker and Chris Paul.

Payne was drafted No. 14 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by Oklahoma City. He also spent time playing in the NBA G-League and China before landing with the Suns in 2020. He's played in 477 career NBA games, averaging 7.8 points and 3.2 assists on 41.9% shooting.

The veteran may look to return to the NBA when Partizan's season is over. But for now, he's looking to lead his new team to a EuroLeague championship.
