The best gear for the Worm Fish is more or less identical to the options used to hunt other Secret-rarity fish. For this particular target, however, your Luck stat needs to be optimized to improve the odds of catching one. Otherwise, you could continue casting your fishing line for hours without seeing any results.

As of this writing, the best gear combo in the game is the Element Rod and Singularity Bait. The Element Rod has a 1,111% Luck multiplier, while the Singularity Bait offers a 380% Luck boost. If you have the resources for it, consider applying the Leprechaun II enchant onto your fishing rod for an additional 50% Luck bonus.

Even with this setup, you may not have the best odds of reeling in the Worm Fish. If you are a paying player, you may want to use Server Luck bonuses and Luck Potions. Both of these options make a noticeable impact on your chances of getting the Worm Fish.
