In Fish It, the Bloodmoon Event presents anglers with the opportunity to reel in rare fish. It is an admin-triggered event that causes mutated fish to spawn in the waters, including the Bloodmoon Whale. All players can join the event to improve their marine collection. However, since the event is only activated by developers, you'll need to rely on official announcements to know about its timing.

Here's all you need to know about the Bloodmoon Event, including its timing and offered boosts in Roblox Fish It.

The Bloodmoon admin event was introduced in Fish It on November 3, 2025. When it is active, all servers receive a huge Luck and Mutation boost that lasts several hours. It is the perfect time for you to catch rare and mutated fish, sell them, and get rich in quick time.

Apart from these super boosts, this event applies the Bloodmoon mutation to random fish. Any aquatic creature that receives this mutation gets red visual effects and has its value increased significantly.

The highlight of the Bloodmoon Event is the Bloodmoon Whale. This limited-time fish only spawns in the waters near Mount Hallow, the special area introduced by the Halloween update. The Bloodmoon Whale has a 1 in 5,000,000 catch rate, so make sure to increase your Luck stat to improve your chances of finding it.

You'll know when the Bloodmoon Event is active when the sky turns red. Occasionally, the developers may send server-wide messages to celebrate the event alongside players.

Although the Bloodmoon Event gives the best chances for catching rare fish, you need to be prepared for the same. Obtain the best fishing rod, buy Luck-boosting bobbers, and take command of a speedy ship to get to Mount Hallow quickly.

Get the following items to prepare for the event:

  • Element Rod: This is currently the best fishing rod because of its high Luck and Weight. To obtain it, you must complete the Element Quest in the Ancient Jungle.
  • Leprechaun II and Mutation Hunter II enchants: These are the top enchants in the game. Leprechaun II boosts your Luck by 50%, while Mutation Hunter improves your chance of getting mutated fish by 30%.
  • Aether Bait: This is a solid bait for the Bloodmoon Event, since it increases both Luck and Mutation Chance.
  • Diving Suit: The Diving Suit is a safety measure. In the worst-case scenario, when you fall into the water, this equipment will allow you to breathe underwater.
  • Speed Boat: The Bloodmoon Whale disappears when the Bloodmoon Event ends. So, quickly use a Speed Boat to set sail to Mount Hallow.

Once you have all five aforementioned items, it just becomes a matter of time, patience, and fishing to get a Bloodmoon Whale.
