Fire Country season 4 episode 5 focuses mainly on Manny and his first shift as the Battalion chief of Station 42, having taken over Vince Leone’s mantle. However, while that brings its own problems thanks to Sharon opposing the changes that Manny attempts to make, it isn't the only plotline in the episode.
Another storyline involves Eve's attempt to revive the Three Rock inmate firefighting camp, especially after she secures the land off the market. Not only that, but she also manages to obtain the necessary raw materials to rebuild the camp in Fire Country season 4 episode 5. However, figuring out how to keep it sustainable and a project the city would want to continue turns out to be an issue.
After a fire at a drive-in inspires her, Eve figures out that the solution to securing full funding from Edgewater is to provide Three Rock with multiple revenue streams. She aims to achieve this by establishing a camp that not only provides prisoners with firefighter training but also offers them experience in owning and running a farm, thereby making the camp self-sustainable.

However, hope was fading that Three Rock would be rebuilt, with the city council looking to give the land off to developers.
However, in Fire Country season 4 episode 5, Eve manages to fight against the council, stops them from selling the land, and even secures approval to rebuild the camp.
Yet her troubles are far from over, as the council wants her to ensure that the camp will eventually be able to turn a profit to get them to fully invest in it. That proves to be a big problem for her as the main draw of the camp has always been an inmate firefighting team that gives prisoners a chance to earn money, gain freedom, and learn a new skill in the process.
But over the course of Fire Country season 4 episode 5, Eve eventually realizes that the Three Rock Camp needs multiple revenue streams. She decides to teach the prisoners not only to grow their own crops but also to raise chickens and other farm animals, thereby feeding themselves and selling the excess for profit.
This will not only allow the prisoners to get their usual firefighting training but also to learn an extra skill. Furthermore, it will also eventually make Three Rock Camp a self-sustaining venture, as the profits will be reinvested in improving the camp.

Sharon goes through hell and back as she deals with a new Battalion chief and more
Grief is a tough road, and Sharon Leone realizes how difficult it is as she watches Manny approach his role as battalion chief in his own way, one that unfolds in a manner that is in opposition to Vince Leone's. From changing the station’s coffee to a Venezuelan roast bean instead of the traditional Leone blend, the bickering between the two never stops.
Although Sharon adores Manny, their dynamic causes a few problems in Fire Country season 4 episode 5. It reaches a point where she starts micromanaging the Station 42 crew when Manny handles a drive-in fire differently than she would have.
Manny leaps into the fire and rushes back into the theatre to save the owner, instead of delegating the task. But after Sharon's stepfather, one of the people rescued at the drive-in, gives them an earful, they realise their errors and share a beer at the end of the shift, trying to figure out a compromise.
However, Sharon’s issues in Fire Country season 4, episode 5 are far from over as Bode decides to tell her about the note that Eve found in Vince’s old guitar case, which she and Jake believe points to Vince having an affair. However, Sharon refutes the claim that the note is from Renee, Vince’s high school ex, who was blackmailing him; instead, it is from her mother.
Sharon realizes it when she recognizes the handwriting and the signature on the note.
