Cody Rhodes was on the All The Smoke podcast, where he said that he planned to retire very soon.

Rhodes shocked the world with the announcement that his next WWE contract will be his last-ever with the company. The star said that he was probably not going to wrestle after that, and he would wrestle and finish his career with WWE. He credited the company for bringing him back and putting him in the position that he is today.

"I'd like to make it by that time that when they hit that age, I'm not gone that often, or I can't really walk around much. We're getting closer. What I'd say is that probably my last contract with WWE or the next contract I sign will probably be my last. Finish my days with WWE. It's the house that built me and the house that brought me back and put me in this wonderful position. It's very, very hard to balance. When you're in it, you've got to be in it."

Cody Rhodes talked about the challenges of parenthood

The star said that he knew that he could not rest now after getting off the road. He had two children, and he loved them. He said that, with the younger child only eight weeks old, things were happening all the time and plans were falling apart.

"And I love that challenge now. Two little ones, though, is a little different. So I'm learning as we go. Again, eight weeks. So, we're in the phase of all best-laid plans, whatever schedule, all the help you can get, whatever, it's coming at you from all angles. But I got right back in it. I got right back in it. I changed a few diapers, and it had been a minute, but I got right back in it."

It remains to be seen how long the star's next contract is before the WWE Champion ends his career.
