Indiana Fever star Lexie Hull joins a list of players who have publicly commented on the tense Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) talks with the WNBA. During Wednesday’s 2025 Glamour Women of the Year event, Hull tossed in her thoughts about the stalemate. Together with Jonquel Jones and Nyara Sabally to accept the award, Hull said:

“We fight our rivals hard on the court, but now we’re fighting for fair pay, safer play, and better resources for every player in the WNBA. Tonight, we want to thank the fans who are standing with us as we make the WNBA the best league in the world.”

The standoff in CBA talks led the league and the WNBPA to agree to a 30-day extension 24 hours before the Oct. 31 deadline passed. In 2019, the two sides required an additional 60 days to agree on major points before ratifying the current CBA. This time, many predicted that the reportedly contentious talks could lead to the same route.

Over the past four months, tensions between the WNBA and the WNPBA have increased. In July, the players expressed their frustrations in the talks by wearing “Pay Us What You Owe US” shirts during the All-Star game. Last month, Minnesota Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier, who is a union vice president, called out Commissioner Cathy Engelbert.

Collier, in her exit interview, blasted the “lack of accountability” and "worst leadership" from Engelbert. According to reports, Engelbert’s poor relationship with the players has impacted the ongoing talks.

The MVP runner-up vowed that the union would not back down from its stance. Lexie Hull has doubled down on that point by promising that players would “fight” to get what they wanted.

Lexie Hull serves as guest caddie for Caitlin Clark in November’s The Annika amid CBA discussions

With the contentious CBA talks in the background, Lexie Hull is also enjoying some downtime. She joined Indiana Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham as a guest caddie for superstar Caitlin Clark at The Annika Pro-Am golfing tournament.

Last month, when the Fever announced that Clark would return to play the tournament, Cunningham asked for a chance to play caddie. The podcaster tagged Hull as her partner for a potentially exciting time on the fairways.

On Wednesday, the organizers accommodated them by announcing their participation. Hull and Cunningham would serve as guest caddies along with U.S. soccer legend Brianna Scurry and NASCAR star Carson Hocevar.

Lexie Hull, an avid golfer, is in her element. The same can’t be said for Sophie Cunningham, who got trolled by Caitlin Clark for using “for” instead of “fore” to hype up her participation.
