As the 2025 year came to a conclusion, Femke Bol, Noah Lyles, and other athletes received recognition from the multi-billion-dollar brand Omega. The brand celebrated the Athletes' feat from the 2025 season.

Lyles earned his fourth consecutive gold medal in the 200m at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan. He clocked a stunning time of 19.52s to clinch the victory. He became the second athlete to have earned four straight 200m wins at the World Championships stage. At the same event, he also secured a gold and silver medal in the 4x100m relay and 100m events, respectively. Along with the American sprinter, Femke Bol was also honored for her impressive domination in Tokyo, Japan.

She defended her 400m hurdles title with a striking time of 51.54s, which was marked as the world lead. It also marked her season's best time. The brand listed the sprinters' feats and wrote:

"To the OMEGA champions who inspired us this year - thank you. Your excellence in 2025 has brought us Grand Slam history, giant leaps, fast times, and new World Records. No matter the sport, it was a joy to witness."

The list also included Mondo Duplantis, who stunned the athletic world by breaking the world record four times, taking it from 6.27m to 6.30m. Apart from the track and field athletes, multiple swimmers, including Gretchen Walsh, Regan Smith, Kate Douglass, and Kaylee McKeown, also received the honor for their incredible execution in 2025.

Noah Lyles recently made his feelings known about the concept of rivalry. He spoke his mind, stating that two athletes competing against each other can't simply be termed as a rivalry. He opined that a rivalry needs a background, a story, and an intention.

“I think that if a rivalry is cared for in the correct manner, then yes, it can be good,” Lyles said. “But calling every competition of an athlete going up against another athlete a rivalry is not the same. There has to be a story. There has to be a purpose. There has to be intent." “Just the fact that they happen to show up at the same track meet is not a rivalry,” the American athlete, a multiple-time world champion across both the 100m and 200m events, emphasised," he added. Noah Lyles further mentioned Usain Bolt vs Justin Gatlin's contention as a rivalry.
