A female WWE Superstar who is currently out injured has issued a warning to her peers, based on her experience.
Agreeing with William Regal's heartbreaking tweet on the danger of neck injuries, Piper Niven quote-tweeted the WWE legend with her own advice about them. She has been away from the ring for over four months now, following neck surgery that has put her career in jeopardy.
Regal's initial tweet mentioned his own experiences from breaking his neck and called out dangerous wrestling, seemingly from Jon Moxley's match against Kyle Fletcher at AEW Worlds End. Piper Niven added that the line between feeling fine and having major issues is "horrifically thin" and that her fellow wrestlers might be close to that point:
"The line between “But I feel fine!” And “I just want to feel ok again” Is horrifically thin and you have zero idea how close you are teetering on the edge of it. Please take heed my darlings," she wrote.Kevin Owens is another recent example of a WWE wrestler whose neck issues have caught up with him. He was suddenly forced to step away from the ring and has been out of action since March, undergoing surgery in July.
Will Piper Niven ever wrestle in WWE again?
While there has been a lot of worry regarding Piper Niven's WWE status following her injury, it seems like she will indeed return to the ring. It was reported that she would be able to return once a treatment plan is in place, along with further encouragement that the Secret HERvice member isn't done.
During a Fightful Select Answers Q&A, it was reported that people close to Niven didn't think her injury would force her to retire. With that being said, it isn't known when she will be able to return. Regardless, this is a positive update and one that offers hope that the SmackDown star will bounce back from this career-threatening setback.
Sportskeeda Wrestling wishes Piper Niven all the best as she continues her road to recovery.
