The Fantasy Football regular season is rounding the final few laps, and that means players you pick up now are likely to follow you into the playoffs. As such, whether you win or lose the championship could depend on the seeds you plant on your bench.

With few options available for running backs this week, managers will need to consider what's available as a potential multi-week investment, albeit with an upfront wait, but one that could become the catalyst for the next two months.

Without further ado, here's a look at the best running back options this week on the waiver wire.

#4 - George Holani, Seattle Seahawks (0.1% rostered)

George Holani scored his first touchdown of the season against the Arizona Cardinals in a game that raised an interesting pattern. Holani received three carries in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders and more than double that in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals.

If you're a fantasy football manager in desperate need and the other options are taken, it could be worth trying to get a ride on the Holani train, but it is quite risky, as the back has very little history and is in a running back room with Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.

#3 - Ty Johnson, Buffalo Bills (2% rostered)

James Cook had trouble with handling the full practice regimen in the lead-up to Week 10 and struggled mightily against the Miami Dolphins. Cook missed practice on Wednesday, had a limited practice on Thursday, and a full practice on Friday, according to the Buffalo Bills' official injury report. The situation raises big questions about his health going into the second half of the season.

As such, getting a handcuff like Johnson can put you in a position if the worst happens with Cook and he misses time. If you have Cook on your fantasy football squad, getting Johnson would be far from the worst idea, at least until the injury situation potentially blows over.

#2 - Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints (1.7% rostered)

Alvin Kamara has been the New Orleans Saints' franchise running back since the Sean Payton era. Kamara has been struggling this season, and with the youth movement in full effect this season, transitioning to the young Neal is something that could happen in the coming weeks. Neal has seen his carries go up in the past two games, so a transition could be slowly unraveling.

If you are a fantasy football manager in need of a back, and the top player on the list is taken, adding Neal at least adds a small source of hope. The Saints have many competitive matchups on tap over the next six weeks, so Neal also could be a candidate to remain relevant in the game script if he can take some carries from Kamara.

#1 - Brian Robinson Jr., San Francisco 49ers (21.2% rostered)

Brian Robinson Jr. has been quiet all season long. However, the former Washington Commanders back looked explosive against the Los Angeles Rams on a day in which not much went right. Robinson might have elevated himself into a redzone rusher based on his performance against the Rams.

Christian McCaffrey entered Week 10 with the worst yards per carry average of his career, so Robinson could see himself getting more carries in future games. Robinson has plenty of experience as the lead back, so he's ready for his fantasy football moment if it has finally arrived.
