Week 1 offered fantasy football managers much to consider regarding streaming defenses. Some teams quickly proved to be solid fantasy options, while others underperformed despite high preseason expectations.
Matchups are especially crucial this week. The San Francisco 49ers face a Miami Dolphins offense that struggled to advance the ball in Week 1, whereas the Philadelphia Eagles go up against a Tennessee Titans team that faced significant issues against the New York Jets. Tampa Bay also has a favorable matchup against Cleveland, which scored only 10 points in Week 1.
Additionally, the Detroit Lions play the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, making them a risky fantasy choice after allowing over 30 points in Week 1. Houston also faces a tough challenge against Cincinnati after giving up 36 points to Buffalo.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST vs. Cleveland Browns
Tampa Bay is widely available in fantasy leagues and has one of the week's most favorable matchups. Cleveland managed only 10 points in Week 1, making the Buccaneers an appealing streaming option with sack and turnover potential.
Week 2 D/ST Busts
Detroit Lions D/ST at Buffalo Bills
The Lions are the defense I would be most cautious about starting this week. Buffalo just scored 36 points against Houston, and Josh Allen gives opposing defenses a difficult combination of rushing and passing ability. Detroit's Week 1 fantasy output was modest as well.
