The Atlanta Falcons have made a big decision on the future of star running back Bijan Robinson.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Falcons have exercised Robinson's fifth-year option. Pelissero shared the news via X.

The Falcons will now have their best player under contract through the 2027 season. Robinson is projected to make $11.3 million in 2027 under the option.
The move comes as no surprise, as the Falcons were expected to use the option on the young star tailback. Robinson is coming off a stellar 2025 season after he led the league with 2,298 yards from scrimmage. The 24-year-old rushed for 1,478 yards along with seven touchdowns on the ground and caught 79 passes for 820 yards through the air.
The Falcons drafted the former Texas Longhorn with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He's been as durable as they come in his three-year career, playing in every single game.
The star running back has tallied 805 rush attemots for 3,910 yards on the ground, 25 touchdowns and averages 4.9 yards per carry.
The Arizona native recently spoke to reporters and expressed his commitment to continuous improvement and his desire to get better on a daily basis.
"Like I say every year, I am just trying to be better than the last year, in all aspects of my game," Robinson said. "My leadership, my faith, everything, who I am as a person. I am just trying to be a lot better than I was the year before, even when it comes to my goals on the field, off the field."
"Last year was a cool year," Robinson admitted, "but this year I want to be even better in all aspects."
Last season, Robinson was named a Pro Bowler for the second time in his career, named to the first-team All-Pro and finished fourth in Offensive Player of the Year voting.
