Now down to just two potential trophies to win in the 2025/26 season, Arsenal put their European campaign on the line as they return home from European play to keep their Premier League title hopes alive with a match against Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Gunners were chasing an unprecedented quadruple this season but could not clear either of the first two hurdles as they were well beaten at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final by Manchester City before being ejected from the FA Cup at the hands of Southampton in their return from the March international break.
After a gutty 1-0 victory in the Champions League against Sporting CP midweek, the Gunners return home to meet the Cherries holding a nine-point lead atop the domestic league table.
Here's the latest injury picture around Arteta's squad, with the fixtures coming thick and fast once they return to club football.

Arsenal injury list
Below is the latest injury picture for Arsenal, and estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.
Bukayo Saka
- Injury: Undisclosed
- Expected return: April 11 (vs. Bournemouth)
After withdrawing from England international duty to manage his workload, and being rested for the Southampton match, it was a surprise when Saka was not involved during the open media portion of Arsenal training on Monday, April 6, the day before the Gunners were slated to take on Sporting CP in the Champions League.
There is little known about a potential injury beyond that Saka was not seen by members of the media who attended, but Arteta confirmed on Monday evening that Saka did not travel with the side and would not participate in the first leg against Sporting. His return is shrouded in mystery, as Arteta said "some" of the players absent from training on Friday could return against Bournemouth, but did not indicate which ones.
Jurrien Timber
- Injury: Knee
- Expected return: April 11 (vs. Bournemouth)
Timber suffered an injury early in the eventual 2-0 victory over Everton on March 14. He went down in the opening 15 minutes but carried on as long as he could. Ultimately, he was forced off in the 37th minute, replaced by Cristhian Mosquera.
In the end, it would appear Arsenal dodged a bullet with this one. Arteta said that Timber's recovery will be "a matter of days," but he missed the Bayer Leverkusen return leg and the ensuing EFL Cup final defeat to Man City, leading to his withdrawal from the Netherlands squad. After not being involved against Southampton, Timber was also not available for the Champions League match this week, and it's unclear whether he will be back for Bournemouth after missing training on Friday.
Martin Odegaard
- Injury: Undisclosed
- Expected return: April 11 (vs. Bournemouth)
After he was seen limping following the 1-0 win over Sporting CP in Portugal, Martin Odegaard was absent from the open portion of Arsenal training on Friday, putting his participation for the Bournemouth game in doubt this weekend. Mikel Arteta was not forthcoming about his availability or anyone else's, and he could potentially miss out.
Piero Hincapie
- Injury: Hamstring
- Expected return: TBD
Enjoying a strong first season with Arsenal, Hincapie may not be available for the Gunners during the stretch run of the campaign. The Ecuadorian hobbled off with an injury during one of their international matches in the March window, and Arteta was tight-lipped on the extent of his hamstring issue, although the Arsenal boss did seem to suggest it was of the more serious variety.
Until more is known about how severe Hincapie's concern is, it's impossible to speculate on when he could potentially return.
Eberechi Eze
- Injury: Calf
- Expected return: April 11 (vs. Bournemouth)
Eze was excluded from the squad for the Carabao Cup final against Man City and subsequently withdrew from the England camp for the March international break. There is concern that he could miss a run of fixtures, with reports claiming he will miss at least two weeks and possibly more.
As the international break concluded, there were rumblings that he could be absent through the entirety of April, but he then returned to training on Friday and Mikel Arteta said he would be available for selection against Bournemouth.
Mikel Merino
- Injury: Broken foot
- Expected return date: May
It was reported in Spain late on February 1 that Merino could miss much of the rest of the season with a broken foot, and Arsenal confirmed the injury a day later. The club said the midfielder will be out for "an extended period" while he recovers from surgery, but the intention is for him to be back in training before the season ends.
