After a restful offseason, Formula 1 racing is back and better than ever. Even if fans don't have cable, there's plenty of ways to watch this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix for free.

After wrapping up the season opener in Melbourne last week, drivers are quickly turning their sights to China. A slew of new driving and car regulations make this year's campaign different than ever before, and that means the leaderboard has been flipped on its head.

Mercedes topped the Australian Grand Prix, recording a one-two finish with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. Ferrari followed up in third and fourth place, but usual powerhouses fell short, like defending champion Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.

You won't want to miss this highly-anticipated race.

Here's how to watch the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix for free, including TV channel and streaming options for the Formula 1 race in Shanghai.
