A report has just come in regarding the status of a former WWE Superstar who recently made their AEW debut. It seems that the individual has yet to sign with the company despite her appearance.

Last weekend on Collision, Nixon Newell (FKA Tegan Nox) and her girlfriend Miranda Alize suddenly interrupted a backstage interview featuring TayJay and challenged them to a tag team match. This comes amidst the tournament to crown the new AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions. The details regarding this match have yet to be revealed.

During a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave his insights on the situation. He revealed that he hasn't heard anything about the duo becoming All-Elite and that this seemed to be a one-off appearance. He believed that this may be the case of them getting signed based on how the match goes.

"I didn't get the impression that they're signed to a deal, as much as they're being brought in for a tag team match," Meltzer said. "Kind of like 'If you do good...' whatever. I don't know. I haven't heard that they're signed or anything. But we'll see." [H/T WrestlingInc.]
