Former WWE SmackDown Superstar Ridge Holland recently took to social media to share a massive update on his injury. The former Brawling Brutes member was recently let go by the Stamford-based promotion.

After going back to NXT from WWE's main roster in 2023, Ridge Holland found his groove in the black and silver brand. He won the NXT Tag Team Championship alongside Andre Chase. However, in September 2025, Holland suffered an unfortunate foot injury, which sidelined him from in-ring competition. Amid his injury absence, the star took to Instagram to reveal his shocking release from the company.

The former Brawling Brutes star recently took to Instagram to share a video of his foot post-surgery. In his post's caption, Holland highlighted that it was his first physical therapy session since the surgery.

"First day of PT! #recovery #surgery," he wrote.

WWE star Ridge Holland talked about his injury

Ridge Holland recently took to X/Twitter to share an update on his injury. The former WWE star revealed that he was going to Birmingham, Alabama, to have his cast removed and get his foot checked.

He also added that apart from the foot injury, he was dealing with a neck injury as well, and was hoping he wouldn't need to undergo neck surgery.

"Next Tuesday, I’ve got to go to Birmingham, Alabama, to have the cast off, some more X-rays to make sure that the foot is all good, and we can go to partial weight bearing. The kicker is that prior to the foot, I had a neck injury that was going to get imaging for. I got imaging for that post-foot surgery, and I’m going to Birmingham to see the neck specialist. Worst case scenario, I’ll need neck surgery, and I’m hoping for the best case scenario, which is injections, but I’m having some nerve impingement, which is sending pain down my arm, so I’m a little bit apprehensive about what’s going to happen," he said.

We at Sportskeeda wish former WWE star Ridge Holland a speedy recovery and hope he returns to the ring stronger than ever.
