Ex-Steelers RB delivers savage touchdown celebration in CFL

4 hours ago 1

Jaylen Samuels spent three years with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being a fifth-round pick out of North Carolina State.

That's a long time ago, though.

Now, Samuels is plying his trade as a running back in the Canadian Football League.

And even though it's just the preseason, Samuels' celebration work is in midseason form.

Playing for the Ottawa Redblacks on Saturday, Samuels broke through the right side to run for a touchdown.

As he approached the end zone, Samuels held up a peace sign to the defender closing in that wouldn't get there in time.

In Samuels' three seasons with the Steelers, he had 136 carries for 468 yards and a lone touchdown.

He then spent 2021 with the Texans, rushing five times for nine yards.

Samuels hasn't been in the NFL since then.

Now 28, the native of Charlotte, N.C. looks like he may have found a better home in the CFL. He's certainly playing with a confident swagger.
