Ex-Bulls guard hints at comeback from NBA retirement

After a year away, a former member of the Chicago Bulls is thinking about returning to the NBA.

The Bulls were one of seven teams this veteran guard played for in the NBA, so there's no telling where he might wind up next on his traversing basketball career.

He's 36 years old now, but Patrick Beverley wants to take another shot at the league after not playing during the 2023-24 season.

Beverley announced on his podcast that he'll attempt an NBA comeback.

His stint with the Bulls was short but sneaky effective during the 2022-23 season. He spent 22 games in Chicago, averaging 27.5 minutes per night with 5.8 points and 3.5 assists per game.

His two longest NBA stints were spent with the Rockets and the Clippers.

Beverley has also played for the Timberwolves, 76ers, Lakers and Bucks.

As a three-time All-Defense member, Beverley might still be viewed by some team as a tenacious defender. He could also serve as a strong mentor for any up-and-coming guards to learn how to play better defense.

It'd be amazing if Beverley is able to come back to the NBA. This is the same guy who spent the first five years of his pro career overseas, with stints in Ukraine, Greece and Russia.

But he willed his way to the NBA, and now he wants back in.
