Critics Choice Awards 2026 Nominations: ‘Sinners’ & ‘One Battle After Another’ Lead the Pack

Showing out at the Critics Choice Awards is not a complete unknown for Hollywood.

And among those who often step out in style is Timothée Chalamet. After all, the Marty Supreme star—who is nominated for Best Actor at the Jan. 4 ceremony—proved he's always down to try new looks.

Indeed, he turned heads as he arrived on the 2019 red carpet in an Alexander McQueen suit featuring a multi-colored brushstroke print swirled across the blazer and slim pants. The look had solidified his place as a fashion-forward rising star, coming one week after he strutted at the Golden Globes in a glittery Louis Vuitton bib.

But the Wonka star wasn't the only celeb to try new styles at the CCAs. Margot Robbie proved that she looks good in any color at the 2024 award show when this Barbie ditched her signature pink look for a jaw-dropping red leather Balmain off-the-shoulder gown adorned with roses.

Other bold colors that have dazzled on the red carpet? Colman Domingo was shining that same year in a golden-yellow Valentino suit with matching pointed-toe shoes and a textured gold coat.

While the Sing Sing star's love for fashion isn't a surprise, it didn't happen overnight. In fact, he admitted that finding the right look for him took a lot of trial and error.

"I grew up very thin and I didn't like that, so I covered up and wore lots of baggy clothes," he told Interview Magazine in July. "Then I dressed towards it and figured out, 'Oh, my legs are long. What proportions look good on me?'"

"I started to look at my body as my own palette and I started to develop my own sense of style," he continued. "A lot of times it's classic tailoring, but it's also playful, because I like my style to reflect my personality. I don't want to look too stuffy, and I like to feel effortlessly luxurious."

Among the most stylish on any red carpet is Zendaya, who truly dazzled in hot pink at the 2020 CCAs. The Spider-Man actress arrived in an all-fuchsia Tom Ford ensemble complete with a custom metallic, sculpted crop top and harem maxi skirt.

For Zendaya—who got engaged to Marvel costar Tom Holland earlier this year—looking stylish comes naturally, but it helps to have stylist Law Roach by her side.

"I've always loved fashion and I've found that it's an incredibly fun way to express myself," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2022. "I definitely have a strong point of view on what I'm wearing and love to collaborate with my stylist Law."

Now, as the curtain begins to rise on the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, keep reading for a look back at the most stylish looks.
