The Kansas City Chiefs' offseason plan clearly revolved around the defense as several players were moved on, but the offensive side of the ball can't be forgotten.
The receiver room for Patrick Mahomes, as it stands right now, you could say, is a little bit of a weakness.
Rashee Rice and his uncertain future, Xavier Worthy, and Tyquan Thornton are the top options. Then we have Jalen Royals, rookie Cyrus Allen, and Nikko Remigio as the others behind them.
Is that enough? I doubt it.
And ESPN's Bill Barnwell questions the Chiefs' decision not to add to the receiver room this offseason.
“General manager Brett Veach is mostly running things back at receiver in 2026," Barnwell wrote. "Hollywood Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster are gone, but the only addition the Chiefs made at wideout or tight end this offseason is fifth-round pick Cyrus Allen.
“The Chiefs can talk themselves into this working.”

Chiefs earned benefit of the doubt?
To an extent, yes.
But Rice is becoming a player that the franchise can no longer count on, Worthy is up and down, and Thornton is a pure home-run threat.
Do the Chiefs need more? You can make that case.
Tyreek Hill has been floated as a possible option, but I don't see it. At least right now.
Maybe Barnwell is right, and the Chiefs have talked themselves into making it work with this current group.
And with Andy Reid at the helm, and Patrick at quarterback, they've earned the right to prove themselves.
