Erik Spoelstra liked what he saw from the combination of Bam Adebayo and Kel'el Ware

The Miami Heat won 132-101 against the Washington Wizards, which involved a well-rounded performance from the team. This even included a 30-minute game from Kel'el Ware, which has been a rarity in recent weeks.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra experimented with some combinations, including a big man duo of Ware and veteran center Bam Adebayo. This was a fresh decision because there had been a weird dynamic between the two big men.

Spoelstra was pleased with his big man duo

In the past few weeks, Spoelstra has come under fire because of how he utilizes Ware in his rotation. Most basketball fans understand that Ware is one of the most promising players on the roster.

Unfortunately, he has not played enough to people's tastes. He is a floor-stretching big with game-changing athleticism, but Spoelstra struggled to put him alongside Adebayo in the same lineups.

It appears Spoelstra was experimenting with a partnership between the two against the Wizards. This was a successful performance, as they looked natural alongside one another.

Ware and Adebayo looked like they were having fun playing together. In fact, Adebayo had one of the best highlights of the game when he had a putback dunk, and unfortunately for Ware, he was on the wrong end of a poster dunk.

"I liked it today. We want to see where we can maximize rotations as much as possible. Particularly with that 2nd unit. Bam has been a great anchor for us in whatever lineup he’s been in, especially the last 6 weeks or so," Spoelstra said about the Ware-Adebayo duo.

"It’ll depend on how much it can be productive. Kas gave us a good boost also with that unit. Defensively, that unit was very stable and active. Offensively, we managed the spacing and pounded them on the glass."

Moving forward, this could be an effective tactic to put out. Of course, they were playing against the lowly Wizards, but they are still an NBA team, so the fresh frontcourt duo could make it work against better teams in the future.
