The Philadelphia Phillies have made the playoffs each of the last four seasons, and they've won their division, the NL East, each of the last two years in 2024 and 2025.
The Philadelphia Eagles have also made the playoffs often lately, with a five-year streak of their own. They've also won their division in 2024, and after a win over the Washington Commanders in Week 16, they've clinched the NFC East for the second year in a row.
Somehow, as Sean Kane of NBC Sports Philadelphia notes, this is the first time that the Phillies and Eagles are back-to-back division champions simultaneously. While this statistic is hard to believe, it's a sign of how great things are for Philly sports fans.

"The Eagles and Phillies are reigning back-to-back division champions simultaneously." Kane writes. "That's never happened before."
Philadelphia has seen its MLB and NFL teams win their respective divisions (NL East and NFC East) each of the last two seasons.
Looking back throughout both teams' history in Philadelphia, this is the first time ever that the Eagles and Phillies have been back-to-back division champions at the same time as one another.

The 2024 and 2025 seasons for the Phillies and Eagles have both resulted in division titles. While the Eagles finished the job in 2024 with a Super Bowl, the Phillies couldn't make it past the NLDS in either the 2024 or 2025 seasons.
Both teams have made the playoffs the last four seasons, and in 2022, the Eagles were in the Super Bowl while the Phillies were in the World Series. Unfortunately, they both lost.
While the Phillies couldn't secure a World Series title or even a return bid to the World Series, the Eagles picked up the slack with a dominant Super Bowl victory.
Despite the Phillies' lack of postseason success, there hasn't been a better time to be a fan of the Philadelphia sports teams. The Eagles and Phillies are back-to-back division champions, which has never happened in Philly sports history.
