The Philadelphia Eagles are heading into Week 5 with a lot of issues surrounding the team. The vibe shift from before Week 3 to now is stark.

From the Eagles looking like the clear class of the NFC East and a likely Super Bowl contender, to now possibly selling at the NFL trade deadline, it's been a stunning shift in narrative for this Eagles team. But there's good reason for that change.

As the Eagles head into Week 5 against a tough Jacksonville Jaguars team, ESPN's Tim McManus highlighted why things are worse than ever for the Eagles. Between injuries, departures of two starting linemen, and some horrid numbers, Week 5 is looking like a bleak one for the Eagles offense.

Eagles poised for bleak Week 5 matchup vs. Jaguars

"Philadelphia entered the week with significant offensive problems. The Eagles have gone three-and-out on a league-high 15 possessions and rank 25th in points per game (18.8), 29th in total yards per game (269.8), and tied for fourth in most sacks allowed (12)," McManus writes.

This Eagles offense is struggling to score points, to avoid three-and-outs, move the ball down the field through the run game or the air, and to protect Jalen Hurts.

Unfortunately for Hurts and the Eagles, "Things went from bad to worse" following Week 4's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, with the retirement of Lane Johnson and the trade of Cam Jurgens.

While there's no denying the Jurgens trade was good business by Howie Roseman and the Eagles, there is still plenty of uncertainty along the offensive line.

If the offensive production through Week 4 was bad, with this new-look offensive line trying to protect Hurts, things are bound to go wrong against a tough Jaguars defense.

As if things couldn't get any worse, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and Tank Bigsby are all set to be out this week. Dallas Goedert might be back, and there's some optimism about Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, and Darius Cooper.

However, the offense overall is far from being in a good spot. This offense might be in store for a bleak performance in Week 5 against the Jaguars in London.
