Makai Lemon is officially a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. He signed his rookie contract on Thursday.
And with that signing came the news of the jersey number that the No. 20 overall pick will wear in Philly.
His choice? He's going to rock the number 9.
Yep, the same number that Nick Foles wore in Philly.
Lemon will be the first Eagles player to wear 9 since Foles did.
Foles, of course, led the Eagles to a Super Bowl, catching the legendary Philly Special pass in the process.

What number was Makai Lemon in college?
Makai Lemon actually wore the number 6 at USC.
He had begun his college career wearing 24.
And in high school, he rocked 14. So the number 9 seems new.
Is Nick Foles OK with this?
Foles has given his blessing.

Nick Foles gave him the blessing. The two spoke. Lemon is the fist one to wear it since Nick Foles.
