Eagles fans will love Jalen Hurts update amid 'quicker and faster' report

The Philadelphia Eagles are heading into the 2026 NFL season with a new-look offense now that Kevin Patullo and A.J. Brown are gone.

Sean Mannion, Dontayvion Wicks, and Makai Lemon are among the new additions for Jalen Hurts and the offense this season. But, for Hurts, one of the more exciting notes from training camp wasn't about his chemistry, but rather his athleticism.

As ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports, Hurts is looking like he's ready to be a true dual-threat QB in 2026, with one team source telling Fowler that Hurts looks "quicker and faster" ahead of the 2026 season.

"Quarterback Jalen Hurts is looking like a viable dual threat again," Fowler writes. "The session I attended was a lighter day, but Hurts executed a designed run multiple times, and he looks as if he's moving well. A team source agreed, noting Hurts looks 'quicker and faster.'"

This update from Fowler is exactly the kind of commentary that Eagles fans will love to hear about their franchise's Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

After a down 2025 season, there have been some questions about how good Hurts will actually be for the Eagles in 2026.

While the passing game in the new-look offense might still be a question mark, Hurts appears good to go physically.

Getting Hurts back to his previous rushing production would be huge for this offense. He had 421 yards on 105 attempts last season, but previously, from 2021 through 2024 never went below 605 yards in a season.

Hurts being able to run at a higher clip and with better athleticism would be huge for the Eagles this upcoming season. This is a great update for the Eagles' offense, and the fans should be excited to hear this is the narrative about Hurts at training camp this season.
