Three teams that could still make an addition at wide receiver are the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Las Vegas Raiders.
The Eagles would be OK at the position if they don't trade A.J. Brown, but trade rumors have been circulating around the star wideout all offseason long and at this point it feels like it's a matter of when, not if, he gets dealt. If the Eagles do trade Brown, they're going to need a replacement.
The addition of Jalen Nailor gives the Raiders a promising player at the position, but he's also unproven and joins a wide receivers room that also includes Jack Bech, Dont'e Thornton and Tre Tucker. That is not an ideal situation with Fernando Mendoza set to land in Vegas in April.
When it comes to the Bills, trading for DJ Moore was a strong move, even with the overpay, but Buffalo still has question marks at the position thanks to Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer and the team could use more help.
In an article naming trade candidates after the first wave of free agency, FanSided's Wynston Wilcox listed Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., who could conceivably draw interest from the Bills, Eagles and Raiders.
"The Jacksonville Jaguars have been shopping Brian Thomas Jr. around and that’s largely because of his down year," Wilcox said. "He had a breakout year in 2024, but fizzled out this past season and after signing Jakobi Meyers to a big extension, the Jags are interested in getting some return for him at some point."
While the Jaguars have publicly stated they won't trade Thomas, there have been enough rumors surrounding the former first-round pick and Jacksonville's potential interest in a deal to believe it's possible.
Thomas was electric during his rookie campaign, ripping off over 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he took a giant step back last season while also dealing with injury.
Even still, Thomas is young and his rookie contract, which runs for three more seasons when you include the fifth-year option, is cheap, so there will likely be plenty of interested suitors interested in him if he is indeed on the trade block.
