Dwyane Wade says the Miami Heat 'got smoked' in their Cleveland Cavaliers series

Dwyane Wade believes the Miami Heat "got smoked" in their first round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A 4-0 series does, indeed, indicate there was some smoking going on, but not in the way the Miami Heat originally promised, which was pointed out by Wade, a Heat legend that also once played for the Cavs as well. According to Wade, Heat star Bam Adebayo told him that the Heat wanted "smoke" with Cleveland. "When I heard Tyler Herro say, 'We will not get swept,' I was like, 'Y’all already swept," explained Wade.

"Listen, I gotta talk to my brother Bam, my little brother, because we sat right in here when U.D. (Udonis Haslem) was here. We on the FaceTime with Bam right here, and Bam say he want that smoke. And I said right back on that FaceTime, I was like, 'You don’t want that Cleveland smoke, dawg.' 'Nah, we want that smoke.' Well y’all got smoked," he continued.

Meanwhile, former NBA champ, Danny Green, believes the Cavs have the best shot at coming out of the East this year. "Donovan Mitchell is locked in, laser-focused," Green said on a recent appearance of NBA on ESPN. "They've shown a ton of growth with winning this series...They don't seem satisfied at all. They're ready to win and play."

He continued: "And to me, with how they're playing and how healthy they've been, I see them as the favorites in the East right now. Boston is struggling against the Orlando Magic. And right now, Cleveland is rolling and they're laser-focused. I love what they're doing and how mature they've been."

The Cavs are slated to begin their series against the Pacers on May 1.
